Multi award-wining Canadian folk band The East Pointers will be back in Australia next year for a tour off the back of their third album 'Yours To Break'.
Featuring catchy pop hooks, deep acoustic grooves, trance-like Celtic trad and rich, three-part harmonies, The East Pointers are a hit with Australian audiences and have developed a deep relationship with their fans Down Under.
“Before we came to Australia we were a sit-down band," banjo player Koady Chaisson says.
"From our very first show, these Aussie audiences just stood up, ran to the front of the room and started dancing. We haven’t sat down since. When writing the new album, we would say 'will the Aussies dance to this one?' If the answer wasn't an instant 'yes', we fixed it."
The East Pointers have been transcending the barriers of traditional folk music and hooking the next generation of folk fans. They bring 'Yours To Break' to Australia for 15 dates, including the Woodford, Port Fairy and Fairbridge Folk Festivals plus their own headline theatre shows.
'Yours To Break' is out now.
