Traditional Irish folk band The Druids will make their Australian live debut this summer.
The winners of the prestigious Irish Folk Music Award for Best Live Act – featuring founding members Mick O'Brien and Gary Lawlor alongside Neil Harney (accordion player) and Kevin Rooney (guitarist) – will headline shows in Brisbane, Penrith, Sydney, Canberra, Darwin, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth in January.Known for their captivating live performances, The Druids have toured extensively throughout the USA, UK, and Europe since their inception in 2008 with a collection of songs including 'Starry Plough', 'Farewell To Bellaghy', 'Go Lassie Go' and 'South Australia'.
An immersive experience blending traditional melodies with modern influences, The Druids are not just musicians; they're storytellers, guiding their listeners through the rich tapestry of Ireland's past and present with each note they play.
