It's been eight, long years Australia, but noisecore, post-hardcore masters The Dillinger Escape Plan are headed down under in 2025.
The run of shows – which will visit Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in August – will see the New Jersey natives ommemorate their groundbreaking album 'Calculating Infinity' and so much more with their original singer, Dimitri Minakakis."It has been eight years since the D.E.P. has been down-unda. I'd say it's about time to take that long journey into the future again," the band posted.
"This time, we will be performing our debut album, 'Calculating Infinity', in its entirety with our original singer. This will be our only shows in the country, so don't hesitate for tickets."
Released in 1999, 'Calculating Infinity' introduced the extreme, aggressive sounds of the Dillinger Escape Plan – mathcore, hardcore punk, metalcore, avant-garde metal, grindcore – the band receiving extensive praise at the time, with the release gaining seminal, landmark status in the ensuring years for extreme music.
With a catalogue of hits including 'One Of Us Is The Killer', 'Milk Lizard', 'Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants' and 'Black Bubblegum', the band's second set promises to be a diehard fans ultimate experience.
This is your opportunity to find out why Revolver readers voted The Dillinger Escape Plan the greatest live band of all time (ahead of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Tool and Pantera).
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 13 February.
