Winners of two Juno Awards, the finger-picking quartet will headline concerts in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne next January."We've waited long enough – Australia, let's do this. . . Can't wait to say hello to all of our friends down under," the band says.
Earlier this year, The Dead South released the companion EPs 'Easy Listening for Jerks Pt. 1' and 'Easy Listening For Jerks Pt. 2', which are billed as 'The Carter Family meets Addams Family'.
Both are covers EPs featuring such cuts as 'Chop Suey' (System Of A Down), 'People Are Strange' (The Doors), 'Help Me Scrape The Mucus Off My Brain' (Weezer), 'We Used To Vacation' (Cold War Kids) and 'You Are My Sunshine'.
