The Datsuns Australia 2026 Tour

The Datsuns
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

With work underway for their next studio album, New Zealand garage hard rockers The Datsuns return to Australia in 2026.

To land down under in March, the band will headline gigs in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

"For years we've been foiled and waylaid by emergencies, surgeries, and the everyday chaos of life. But finally – finally! – we're making the pilgrimage back this coming March. Join us for good times!"

Since blazin' a path with their 2002 self-titled debut album – that features 'Mf From Hell' and 'Harmonic Generator' – that saw them tour with the likes of Metallica, The White Stripes, and Queens Of The Stone Age, The Datsuns have released seven studio albums.

Their most recent LP was 2021's 'Eye To Eye' that was the follow-up their 2014 record 'Deep Sleep'. 2023 single 'Ugly Leather' leads the charge for their 2026 record (no title or release date as yet), tearing in with jagged riffs and unrelenting fire – old energy, new fuel, same unstoppable inferno.

The band's current incarnation features Scandinavian drummer Adam Lindmark driving the beast forward, locking in with original bassist Dolf de Borst. While upfront remains founding members (alongside de Borst), lead string wrangler and vocalist Christian Livingstone, and rhythmic meister Phil Somervell bringing a stack of raw, unfiltered and oh-so good riffage.

Their Aussie run promises to be filled with savage hooks honed to perfection, delivering Stoogeoid evil, power-pop crunch and the classic proto rawk assault and battery they are world renowned for.

Tickets on sale from 10am AEST on 7 October.
