British rockers The Darkness return to Australia early 2024 to pay tribute to their debut album 'Permission To Land'.
Released 20 years ago this year, 'Permission To Land' features The Darkness' mega hit 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' alongside other singles 'Love Is Only A Feeling', 'Growing On Me' and 'Friday Night'.After their 2022 Australian tour, this time The Darkness will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in February, joined by You Am I performing their 'The Majesty Of Tap' Spinal Tap tribute show as well as DZ Deathrays and Cry Club.
"When 'Permission To Land' landed 20 short years ago," frontman Justin Hawkins says, "we were bathed in shock and awe. As if by magic, rock wasn't dead! Fun wasn't banned! And spandex was almost acceptable again.
"Well, guess what? Twenty years on, the same rules apply. So please squeeze yourselves into those inappropriate leggings, back-comb your mullet, splash on a big handful of attitude, and come celebrate with us. We promise everything and we deliver, every time. Bring on the next twenty!"
Tickets on sale from 10am EST on 14 September.
