The Chemical Brothers 2019 Australia Tour

The Chemical Brothers will tour Australia later this year.
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

OMG! The Chemical Brothers are returning to Australia, six years since their last adventure down under.

Easily one of electronic music's Mount Rushmore acts, (Kraftwerk, Underworld and Daft Punk been the others – rampant speculation of course, keyboard warriors) The Chemical Brothers – who celebrate 30 years of activity in 2019 (yeah, makes you feel old doesn't it?) - will bring their newest album, last month's 'No Geography', down under this spring.

Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne will bear witness to one of modern music's greatest duos, with the Sunshine State to share Halloween with Manchester's finest purveyors of electronic music mayhem.

The kings of the ultimate party beats as well as the biggest dancefloor drops, highlight tracks from 'No Geography' include the pure-rave ecstasy of 'Free Yourself', while 'Gravity Drops' oozes old-school big-beat, mangled breaks with 'Catch Me I'm Falling' easily the sounds of a 'Blade Runner'-Kraftwerk lovechild.

Another single lifted from 'No Geography' – 'We've Got To Try' – proves the duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons still have the insane knack to create an instant EDM-pop classic, like their ubiquitous mid 2000s global smash-hit 'Galvanize'.

The Avalanches (DJ set) will join The Chemical Brothers as special guests for all dates.

General tickets go on sale 10am EST on 9 May. Click here for more information.
