Funk-rock-roots party starters, The Cat Empire are bringing their new live show home with an Australian tour this spring.
Recently completing a nearly sold-out 23-date tour across UK and Europe, and before they jet off for a 28-date North America tour in October, The Cat Empire will headline concerts in Sydney, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Adelaide and Melbourne from late September. After supporting the band on their European run earlier this year, Steph Strings is set to open all shows apart from Sydney, and New Zealand brothers Coterie will join as main support.
As they near the release of their new studio album, 'Where The Angels Fall' due 25 August, The Cat Empire have delivered their newest single, 'Money Coming My Way'.
"The song has so many musical elements that really show what The Cat Empire is all about," shares the band.
"Blitzing horns, Cuban-infused piano riffs, thumping danceable beats, and a great vocal hook.
"We also threw some extra party-starting elements in this time in the form of Melbourne legends Horns Of Leroy, a string orchestra, and the 40-piece Heidelberg Wind Ensemble."
Tickets on sale from 10am EST on 14 July.
