Californian punk-rockers The Bronx will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first album ‘The Bronx (I)’ by heading out on tour. . . Including a selection of stops in Australia.
First forming in 2002, The Bronx released their debut, self-titled album a year later. In their 21-year career, the band have released six original albums as The Bronx and three albums under their alter ego ‘Mariachi El Bronx’. Both iterations have been hailed and met with success from listeners around the world. The band is made up of Matt Caughthran (vocals), Joby J. Ford (guitar), Ken Horne (guitar), Brad Magers (bass) and Joey Castillo (drums).
The Bronx will be joined on tour by special guests CIVIC and ’68.
CIVIC recently wrapped up a run of shows in the UK as well as a debut as the US SXSW. They create a visceral, unforgettable experience with energetic and intense sets.
Meanwhile, Josh Scogin kickstarted ’68 in 2013, naming it after his father’s old Camaro. . . And there’s a muscle car-sized rumble beneath the hood of what the Atlanta native and his partner-in-crime Nikko Yamada unleash, with an array of instruments creating a moody atmosphere.
Tickets go on sale 28 July at 10am.
