Set to open for Olivia Rodrigo in New York and Los Angeles as part of her 2024 world tour, exposing a new generation to their alternative rock, The Breeders return to Australia early next year.
Last here for Meredith Music Festival in 2018, this time The Breeders will headline concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in January."Since we're flying to NZ next Jan – #foofighters – what's another 1,400 miles? Yes it's true. . . we have some Australian dates," shares The Breeders.
A band who have had several hiatus since forming in 1989, The Breeders have released five studio albums – their most recent was 2018's 'All Nerve' featuring the same personnel as their acclaimed 1993 release 'Last Splash': Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Jim MacPherson and Josephine Wiggs.
To mark that album's 30th anniversary, the band recently released a remastered version of 'Last Splash' – the record features their iconic hit 'Cannonball' as well as 'Drivin' On 9', 'No Aloha', 'Divine Hammer' and 'Do You Love Me Now?'.
2023 has seen The Breeders play Coachella and Riotfest, alongside shows with Foo Fighters and former Breeders' Tanya Donelly's Belly.
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 10 October.
