After the pre-Christmas cheer of their first line-up drop that included The Church, Dyson Stringer Cloher, Frazey Ford and Cash Savage & The Lost Drinks, The Gum Ball returns serve today with The Beautiful Girls joining the 2020 instalment of the Hunter Valley classic, now in its 15th year.
With band leader Mat McHugh (who played the festival solo in 2014) once more at the helm of a full band, The Beautiful Girls will be a well-oiled machine fresh off the recent release of their greatest hits vinyl double album, 'Seaside Highlife'.Other additions to the multi-day camping festival that runs 24-26 April include all-female indigenous rock act from Arnham Land Ripple Effect Band, Canberra blues-rock duo The Barren Spinsters, Sydney dance floor wardens Majun Bu and local celebrity songwriter Dave Wells.
Then there's the raucous emerging stadium rock band The Stained Daisies, legendary folk storyteller Van Walker, indie-rock legend come folk-noire instrumentalist Darren Cross, and festival favourites from last year, Burger Joint – two motorcycle riding legends of funk and groove.

The festival will also broaden its genre palette in 2020 with the introduction of its first live hip hop showcase thanks to Rival Empire. Acts to feature include Newcastles Talakai, Ty Mikado and Micks King, as well as Sydney's Bigredcap & Losty.
