The Angels 2023-2024 Australia Tour

The Angels tour Australia September-February 2023-2024.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

One of Australia's most beloved rock & roll bands, The Angels are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a massive national tour.

Set to take in capital cities, other major metro centres and a stack of regional dates throughout South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania, The Angels will be touring from September through to February.

Fans can expect all the classics – 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again', 'No Secrets', 'Take A Long Line' – as well as material from the band's 13 studio albums.

The 50 Years In The Making tour – comprising more than 30 live performances – will also be first Angels shows featuring former drummer Nick Norton taking centre stage as their new frontman replacing Dave Gleeson after his 12 years in the role.

"We've already got a very busy six months ahead of us, which is brilliant for the new line-up," Nick says. "There's such a heritage of great music there, classic songs, killer riffs. The legwork is already done, I just have to get up and sing them.

"Twelve years in the band behind the kit has provided the pedigree, not to mention learning at the school of rock from the honourable Dave Gleeson. I look forward to sweating it out at venues across the nation with the fans, heading into The Angels 50th year!"

Nick is joined by original members John Brewster (guitar, vocals) and Rick Brewster (lead guitar) alongside John's son Sam Brewster (bass, vocals) with another of John's sons, Tom, taking over drumming duties from Nick.

"Nick is an incredible musician and a great singer and songwriter," John says. "He obviously knows the songs like the back of his hand and the fans already know and love him, so he's the perfect fit. We can't wait to hit the road.

"The 50th anniversary is a very special time for The Angels, and it means a lot that the fans already know Nick. Our relationship with the audience means everything to us and we'll never take that for granted."

Adds Rick: "The time we get to spend onstage makes everything else worthwhile. It's always been about the songs and the power of the guitars."

Tickets are on sale.
