Brisbane's Tempo Hotel has announced it has temporarily shut its doors.
The announcement via the venue's Facebook page said:
Due to restrictions on the amplified music permit imposed by council the hotel will be closed for renovation until resolution.

The Bowler Bar, which is located within The Tempo Hotel, issued a similar announcement via its Facebook page on Sunday:
Due to some renovations in the building, we will be closed this weekend. Some big things will be announced next week too so stay tuned
Bands booked to play at The Tempo are presently seeking alternate venues.
The Ezekial Ox gig scheduled for 17th May has relocated to the New Globe Theatre.
The Brunswick Street venue has a rich history in Brisbane eclectic Fortitide Valley entertainment precinct. Previous incarnations were 'The Hacienda' in the 1980s and later Tom and Jan Dooley's 'Dooley's', before a short stint as the the uninspiring 'Valley Hotel'. The venue was acquired in 2010 by Steve Hammond, who also owns The Chalk Hotel in Woolloongabba.
