Los Angeles-based alt rock band Teenage Wrist will make their Australian live debut this winter.
The 'Earth Is A Black Hole' and 'Stoned, Alone' rockers will headline gigs in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane the first week of August. The shoegaze emo, alt-grunge group feature original members, lead guitarist and vocalist Marshall Gallagher and drummer Anthony Salazar plus touring members Jordan Kulp (guitar) and Jose Trujillo (bass).
"Honestly, Australia is a place we never thought we'd make it to," Marshall says, "but we keep getting all these comments and messages about coming, and somehow we have a listener base there and will be fairly close-by in Asia, so we figured this was our opportunity! We can't wait, it's a literal dream come true!"
Teenage Wrist have collaborated with the likes of Loathe, Softcult and 311, toured with Thrice, Citizen, Basement, and Movements, as well as played Reading & Leeds and Sound & Fury Festival. They will play Outbreak Fest and 2000trees in the coming weeks.
Tickets on sale from 9am AEST on 18 June.
