Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers

With their sophomore album 'GLORY' dropping next month, and already part of the 2026 Laneway Festival line-up, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers will tour nationally next May.

The Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist 2024 winners will headline concerts (their biggest venues to date) in Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

'GLORY' (to be released 7 November; pre-order it) is an exploration of confidence, disgust, infatuation and power set against widescreen indie rock you can strut to. The record's latest single is titled 'BAIT', features cowbell, and is written from the perspective of the worst person you've ever met.

"'BAIT' is big ego, full-menace mode," declares the band, who won Best Independent Rock Album or EP ('I Love You') at 2024 AIR Awards.

"We wrote it in LA, channeling a delusional man who thinks he's God's gift to earth. It was fun to cosplay as someone we'd all probably hate in real life."

'GLORY', which was produced by 3x Grammy Award-winning, London-based Catherine Marks (boygenius, Wolf Alice) is an album the band say is "completely us". The album's previous single 'MOTHER' features guitarist Scarlett McKahey on lead vocals for the first time.

"'MOTHER' is for every beautiful, magical lady who's been caught in the crossfire of a man pretending to be good," the band says. "It's about the built up rage of watching incredible women being mistreated by inadequate men, over and over again since the beginning of time."

Tickets on sale from 1pm (local time) on 17 October.
