Fresh from selling four million copies worldwide of latest album '1989', global superstar Taylor Swift has confirmed the Australian leg of her massive world tour will be Australia in November/December 2015.
Notably, Swift will be the first female solo artist to play stadiums on back-to-back Australian tours, following her hugely successful tour of summer 2014. The beautiful blonde is also the only artist in history to have three albums debut with more than a million copies sold in their first week, with '1989' joining fellow multi-platinum selling albums 'Speak Now' (2010) and 'Red' (2012). The album became Australia’s fastest-selling album of 2014 in less than four days and has topped the US album charts for the third week in a row.
Lead single ‘Shake It Off’ and its successor ‘Blank Space’ have also earned Swift the dual achievements of being the only artist to have two #1 singles in the HOT 100 US charts in 2014.
Joining Taylor Swift on the road will be Australia's own Vance Joy (who will also accompany her on her North American leg of the tour). Kicking-off the year with the #1 song in Triple J's Hottest 100 and five time platinum single 'Riptide', the Melbourne-born singer debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart with 'Dream Your Life Away'.
