Ahead of the release of a special deluxe box set of 2020 album 'The Slow Rush', Tame Impala have released a new single titled 'No Choice'.
A dusty drum snare intros the song, before slinky, spacious yet polished production takes over the track that then makes way for a noodling, psych guitar riff, Kevin Parker's tranquil-sounding vocals adding a layer of comfort to the piece.With more than 1.5 billion streams worldwide, 'The Slow Rush' landed at #1 on the ARIA Album chart, Kevin Parker taking home Album Of The Year, Best Group, Best Rock Album, Engineer Of The Year and Producer Of The Year at the 2020 ARIA Awards.
Tame Impala had been scheduled to tour nationally this month, but have shifted those dates to October 2022.
"Hey Australia, hey NZ, as you may have suspected we've got to reschedule our December tour again. Sucks I know, but there's nothing we can do," Kevin Parker posted to the group's Instagram back in late September.
"All shows will now be happening in October 2022. If you can hang on to your ticket til then it'll be worth the wait I promise.
"Playing shows in Aus is so important to me and I've been hanging out to bring this show that we've been working on back home for so long now it's ridiculous (our last headline tour was 2015). Hang tight we'll see you soon xx."
