Synthony Brings The Biggest Dance Hits To The Steps Of Sydney Opera House For One-Off Concert

Synthony plays Sydney Opera House Forecourt 9 December, 2023.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A celebration of dance music through a classical lens, Synthony returns to Australia for a special, one-off concert at Sydney Opera House Forecourt to kick off summer.

Hosted by Mobin Master with live performance from The Metropolitan Orchestra alongside a crew of local singers (Cherie Mathieson, Sam Allen, Cassie McIvor, Matthew Ottignon, and Greg Gould), Synthony presents some of the biggest electronic dance anthems (from the likes of Avicii, Calvin Harris, Eric Prydz, Fatboy Slim, and Fisher) with immersive visuals and a laser light show.

The show will be curated by Magik J, who'll also perform a support set as Dick Johnson as will electronic duo Bag Raiders.

"Never in my wildest musical dreams did I think I'd get an opportunity to play Sydney Opera House," says Magik J. "I'll be curating the Synthony Live show but also get to do a support set."

Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 2 November.
