We're Not Supposed To Australia. . . Alright, UK indie legends Supergrass have reunited (again) and they're bringing their Mansize Rooster down under for the Strange Ones as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of their debut album, 'I Should Coco'.
Their first live dates in Australia in 17 years, Supergrass – featuring Gaz Coombes, Mick Quinn, Danny Goffey and Rob Coombes – will perform headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane next June. The shows will see the Britpop rockers perform the Mercury-nominated UK #1 debut album 'I Should Coco' in full – including their mega hit 'Alright' as well as 'Caught By The Fuzz', 'Mansize Rooster', 'I'd Like To Know' and 'She's So Loose' – alongside a second set of their additional hits.
We're talking 'Moving', 'Pumping On Your Stereo' and 'St.Petersburg', plus hopefully the likes of 'Sun Hits The Sky', 'Richard III', 'Tales Of Endurance, Pt 4, 5 & 6' and 'Mary'.
"15th May 2025 marks 30 years since 'I Should Coco'. Supergrass are thrilled to announce their return to perform the debut album live, in its entirety, for the first time. Dynamic pricing not included," band member Mick Quinn says.
Originally forming in Oxford in 1993, Supergrass have received nods from the BRIT Awards, NME Awards, Q Awards and Ivor Novello Awards, and are widely recognised as one of the most influential bands to emerge during the 1990s.
After 'I Should Coco', Supergrass produced five more acclaimed studio albums: 'In It For The Money' (1997), 'Supergrass' (1999), 'Life On Other Planets' (2002), 'Road To Rouen' (2005), and 'Diamond Hoo Ha' (2008) – before the band announced their split in 2010, all going on to lead successful careers.
