Sunshine Coast Welcomes Coochin Fields – A New World-class Festival & Camping Destination

Coochin Fields is a new festival and camping site located in the Sunshine Coast.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A new 150-hectare site (the size of 22 football fields) in the Sunshine Coast will be the home of a new festival and camping destination, Coochin Fields, that's looking to attract world-class events and top-tier line-ups.

From the same team who operate Eatons Hill Hotel and Sandstone Point Hotel (who have hosted the likes of Prince, Ice Cube, The Beach Boys, Ke$ha and Post Malone), the Comiskey Group have grand plans for the Coochin Fields site with major music festivals hosting international and national talent on the horizon.

"We are ready to take things to the next level, exceed expectations and bring another great entertainment facility to this incredible community," Comiskey Group Director Rob Comiskey explains.

"I am excited to bring something special to the Sunshine Coast. The natural festival site is a similar size to North Byron Parklands, so there is plenty of opportunity to host both small and large-scale events with international artists and multiple stages."

Nestled in nature, the site is home to turf and strawberry farms - which will remain operational – and is a direct five-minute drive to the Bruce Highway (just 35 minutes south of Maroochydore and 1 hour 20 minutes north of Brisbane).

Festival punters won't have to wait long before they can explore Coochin Fields with discussions with iconic Australian festivals ready to expand into Queensland already underway.

"It's been a rough couple of years for the live music industry," Comiskey Group's Entertainment Director, Jonathan (Jono) Jackson says, "but I am glad that we can get back to business and bring more local, national and international artists to the stage where they belong.

"It is a really impressive site that has so much potential. I am looking forward to showcasing the new space to more promoters; we have already seen incredible interest and I know there will be plenty more.

"It's going to be an exciting addition to the region, we can't wait to bring your favourite musicians closer."
