Sunset Sounds Festival Heads To Cairns Headlined By Ian Moss, The Blacksorrows

Ian Moss headlines the Cairns edition of Sunset Sounds.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Cue the classic rock and pop nostalgia feels Cairns, with music festival Sunset Sounds headed to the tropics this winter.

One of Australia's premier guitarists with a slew of hits to his name – 'Bow River', 'Georgia' and 'Tucker's Daughter' – Ian Moss will headline Sunset Sounds when it arrives at Cairns Showgrounds 13 June.

He'll be joined by blues-rock legends The Black Sorrows (fronted by Joe Camilleri) and singer-songwriter Richard Clapton who is set to release his very first covers album, 'Music Is Love (1966-1970)', next month.

Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock legend, Ross Wilson will also be in attendance as will ARIA Hall Of Fame members Dragon. 'What About Me' singer Shannon Noll and late '90s, early '00 pop legends Bachelor Girl also join the party.

General tickets go on sale from 10am local time 1 April. More information.
