A new concert event has emerged on the Australian outdoor summer festival roster.
SummerSalt is being pitched in picturesque locations in Adelaide, Hunter Valley, Bondi Beach, Margaret River and Rottnest.
As well as showcasing home-grown and international bands it will also bring cultural attractions, placing a very heavy emphasis on local community and sustainability.
The first instalment will kick off in Adelaide. South Australian audiences will be able to soak up some classic seaside charm under the spell of John Butler Trio and Missy Higgins on the shores of Glenelg Beach.

New South Wales and Western Australia will feature The Cat Empire and Xavier Rudd across various stunning backdrops: Bondi (Sydney) and Rottnest Island (Perth). Then the regional areas of NSW and WA will share the same musical events on the lush green grounds of scenic wineries – Hope Estate and 3 Oceans.
John Butler remains one of the most successful independent artists in Australia’s history, his band, the John Butler Trio, have sold out myriad performances over the years in Australia and have gone on to take their music worldwide.
Over the last decade Missy Higgins has become one of our most beloved singer/songwriters. Her first three albums have sold more than a million copies; each reaching No. 1 on the Australian charts.
Celebrated as one of the world’s energetic festival bands and party powerhouses, The Cat Empire continue to deliver a spectacular live show. To this day, they remain fiercely independent and are one of the most successful mash-up proponents of jazz, funk, and world music that Australia has ever seen.
Since the very beginning, Xavier Rudd's ability to connect with people has been his most powerful gift. The more he has toured the world, the more hearts he has touched and the more of the world he has put back into his music.
SummerSalt is seeking to minimise its impact on all locations. As part of its efforts, Green Tickets can be purchased for an additional $3 which will be invested into native reforestation projects across agricultural land in NSW & QLD.
