Xavier Rudd co-headlines the Hobart and Fremantle 2022 SummerSalt festivals.
After staging a host of successful outdoor events at scenic locations around the nation the past few Aussie summers (including during COVID), the SummerSalt concert series will return in 2022, with the first cabs off the rank being Hobart and Fremantle.
Both festivals will witness a line-up featuring Missy Higgins, Xavier Rudd, Birds Of Tokyo, Pete Murray, and The Waifs.
"We are SO excited to announce not one, but TWO shows!" declares The Waifs. "We will be performing at SummerSalt in Hobart on Sunday 6 February and Fremantle on Sunday 6 March."
The Hobart leg will also host indie folk duo The Dreggs and emerging alternative singer-songwriter Tulliah; while Fremantle audiences will welcome WA alternative rockers Coterie and South Coast traditional singer-songwriter Banjo Lucia.
"The clouds are lifting, summer is comin'; stoked to be playing SummerSalt festival next year," beams Xavier Rudd.
Adds Birds Of Tokyo: "Hi friends, we're hitting the road for SummerSalt festival early next year in Hobart and Fremantle. Look forward seeing you there."
A great day out with live music and a vibrant setting, SummerSalt is the ideal retreat to bask in the sun while kicking back or dancing the day and night away.
"After powering through a tumultuous time for events, we are so excited to bring another great round of shows to Tasmania and Western Australia," SummerSalt promoter John Zaccaria says.
"We're all keen to get back to enjoying fun days out with friends and some of Australia's best live music.
"We have another top line-up of homegrown Aussie talent to bring to Hobart and Fremantle, and can't wait to see music fans out again making sensational summer memories with their mates."
John also features in a new short film, which follows the WA-based promoter as he staged the first national tours in early 2021, SummerSalt and ByTheC, following the nationwide lockdown.
