Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

SummerSalt will tour a new series of live events with Ocean Alley – AUS Coastal – in 2026.

The five-date run will take place in March at spectacular locations around the country, and, of course, a big line-up of special guests.

First up are globally renowned Australian rockers Ocean Alley, who have emerged as one of Australia’s most successful musical exports, with four albums and an unmistakable sound as well as chart success across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. AUS Coastal follows a huge run of shows for the band’s ‘Love Balloon’ Australian tour next year, which will see them take on their biggest Australian headline shows to date.

It marks a bold new chapter for them – and a chance for punters to see a band at the height of their powers.

Joining them are Skegss, with riotous releases sparking circle pits and stage dives all over the place. They’ve become the unlikely anti-heroes of the country’s vibrant rock scene, and their second album ‘Rehearsal’ is a thrill ride through modern disillusioned youth.

LA rock mainstays Allah-Las will head back out way in March for a run of shows, including AUS Coastal. It’ll be their first visit here since releasing ‘Zuma 85’ full-length LP, and the latest instrumental singles ‘Countryman ’82’ and ‘Dume Room’.

The sun-soaked psych rockers Babe Rainbow are next – the trio grew up in Rainbow Bay, later relocating to Byron Bay. They’re known for the dreamlike, joyful, psychedelic music they create together.

Hard-working young group The Grogans formed in 2016 while in high school and haven’t stopped since. . . Releasing three EPs and four albums – most recently ‘Find Me A Cloud’. Each release has seen the genre-hopping trio showcase their musical abilities.

Indie-rock sweethearts Mid Drift combine sun-drenched hooks with lyrical depth, making waves across the country with feel-good energy and a tight live show, sure to leave a smile on anyone’s face.

Le Shiv, next up, are a genre-blending force, rising from LA house parties to international stages and sharing stages with the likes of Lime Cordiale, Grouplove, and Ocean Alley. Their debut album is due out this year, as they cement themselves as an exciting Australian export.

Emerging from Byron Bay come SEASIDE, an indie-rock collective known for emotionally are songwriting, dreamy yet fierce sound, and a signature blend of sunshine and sorrow, fronted by Darcy Dexter.

Tickets on sale 31 October.
