Summer Sounds Festival Brisbane Add A Stack Of Excellent Local Supports

Hope D joins the Summer Sounds Festival Brisbane line-up.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Two weeks out from the Brisbane leg of Summer Sounds Festival at The Riverstage, and event organisers have added a number of super-duper, excellent local supports to the line-up.

Get down to the tropical-inspired electronica of CLYPSO as she warms up the stage for The Kite String Tangle, who is sure to leave you levitating ahead of The Avalanches set (30 April).

Then you can catch local lords of feel-good rock & roll Beddy Rays, when they join Perth rockers Tired Lion and punk-rock legends Violent Soho (1 May). Riverstage will be heaving when these fun-loving larrikins take over.

You'd also do well to get along early for Ball Park Music's concert (3 May) to sample the charm and razor-sharp wit of 2020 Carol Lloyd Award winner Hope D as as well as Sycco's soulful voice and psychedelic jazz aura. Not to mention he heart-swelling, folk-inflected pop of Alex The Astronaut as well.

Also, don't sleep on Summer Sounds first Brisbane concert featuring King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Tropical F Storm and The Murlocs.

Summer Sounds Festival takes place at The Riverstage (Brisbane).
