The boutique creative festival known as Sugar Mountain will return to Melbourne next January, with the main event scheduled for Saturday January 19 at the Forum Theatre.
The young festival, which had its first crack in 2011, will feature an eclectic mix of music and visual art from both local acts and international names.
On the bill thus far for 2013 are some international music heavyweights: American rapper Action Bronson will make a show, as well as New York 80's dance-punk band ESG. Other acts to join them will be hip-hop producer Peanut Butter Wolf, Kirin J Callinan & Kris Moyes, HTRK, Laurel Halo and Woods. With more announcements to follow, including the visual arts program, Melbourners can expect plenty more where that came from.
Sugar Mountain will run for several days in January, lighting up a handful venues around town, including Rooftop Bar and ACMI. Tickets for the festival go on sale Monday September 24 via Ticketmaster, the Forum Box Office and Polyester Records.
