Psych rockers Stonefield have released the first taste of their new album with the single 'Delusion'.
It marks a move away from the ladies previous psych-pop, '70s rock riffs into more prog, heavy rock territory with lots of ambling waves of synth goodness; it's also their first release with Melbourne independent label Flightless Records (home to King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and The Murlocs).
Stonefield will begin a huge 2018 with select shows in Sydney and Melbourne, before heading to the United States for a residency at LA's Bootleg Theatre as well as an appearance at Austin's renowned Levitation Festival.
"'Delusion' was inspired by an overwhelming feeling of knowing you are a speck in the universe, getting lost in your own mind," the band says.
"We ventured away from classic song structure to create more of a journey, exploring synth sounds to support our love of a hypnotic sounding riff."
