You know it's 2022 when rock & roll stars are breaking up fights at concerts, which is what happened on Saturday (26 March) when Stone Temple Pilots' Jeff Gutt paused the band's performance mid-song when he spotted a couple of brawlers in the crowd.

"Hey! Stop the f...ing fight. Hey, stop the song, stop playing. Are you pussies here to fight or have a good time," he fired across the crowd at the combatants.

"Stop the fighting, there's enough hate in this f...ing world. Get security over, we've got a couple of idiots who don't know how to have a good time."

After a brief pause and receiving plenty of cheers, Gutt and the rest of the band returned to the music launching back into their set playing 'Down' without missing beat.

Meanwhile, reports circulated about a woman being hit in the head during Bush's performance at the same Gold Coast show resulting in a fracas that went unseen by the band.

Queensland Police said no charges were laid as a result of either fight.
