Stereosonic and graphic design marketplace 99designs are giving you the chance to design for Australia's most popular electronic music festival.


The online competition seeks to merge Stereosonic's support of Australian electronic artists with the graphic design field. Talented and musically minded graphic designers are encouraged to submit entries that "interpret the vibrancy and popularity of Stereosonic and summer, whilst taking account current fashion and musical trends".

Submissions to the competition can be made over a one month period, from Monday August 12 to Monday September 9. The top two winning designs will each receive a major prize of $1500 (USD) cash and five copies of their winning t-shirt. Ten runners up will receive a Stereosonic merchandise pack.

"Stereosonic showcases the world's leading and emerging electronic artists," Stereosonic brand manager John Curtin explained. "We wanted to extend our support to graphic designers and highlight the relationship between design, music and fashion."

The contest will be open to designers around the world via the 99designs platform. Winners will have their work showcased on t-shirts at Stereosonic events nationally, with the opportunity to develop a relationship for further merchandise designs.
