American heavy metal band, Static-X return to Australia this May for a three-date east coast run.
After reforming in 2019, five years after the death of their original lead singer Wayne Static, founding members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay recruited an unidentified, mask-wearing singer known as Xer0.Static-X released their first album in 11 years in 2020 titled 'Project: Regeneration Vol. 1' that featured the last recordings of Static alongside vocal contributions from Xer0 (whose identity remains largely unknown).
"We are so excited to finally get back to Australia," Tony Campos says. "We plan to play most of the songs off of both 'Machine' and 'Wisconsin Death Trip' as well a number of nice surprises.
"It's going to be one for the ages and we can't wait to get out there and celebrate 20 years of our 'Machine' record while we continue to remember all of the good times that we had with Wayne and to share it live and loud with all of our Aussie fans.
"It's going to be awesome!"
Static-X will be joined by another veteran American alternative act with SOIL to perform their seminal second studio album 'Scars' in full including their mega hit 'Halo'.
Tickets on sale from 27 January.
