Sydney pop-punk bruisers, Stand Atlantic will tour east-coast Australia this winter playing their biggest rooms yet.
The 'Deathwish' and 'Lavender Bones' rockers will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane late August."It feels like its been forever since we were able to showcase a proper headline show in the motherland of Australia," vocalist-guitarist Bonnie Fraser says.
"This tour is going to be something absolutely special and unique. It'll be the biggest rooms we have ever headlined and we're excited to put the biggest show of our lives to fit. We can't wait for you to join us!"
The tour dates will land in the shadow of the group's fourth studio album, with the 15-track 'Was Here' to drop 23 August (pre-order it).
Stand Atlantic recently shared the album single 'GIRL$', a collab track with fellow alt-pop stars Lynn Gunn (PVRIS) and Mexican alt-rocker Bruses.
"I feel like the message of the song speaks for itself," shares Bonnie, "I wanted to show my appreciation for women and personally, my experience growing up knowing I was attracted to women but still feeling like I had to fit the mould of the male gaze, just based on the way I was influenced by a male-dominated society.
"I hope other queer women and women in general resonate with this track, but also anyone in between. I wrote it for anyone who's ever felt squashed by the strange and subtle pressures society can place on young people based off old as sh.t paradigms.
"That being said, having Lynn (PVRIS) and Amalia (Bruses) on this track made it so much more meaningful to me personally. Both female, queer and talented artists I respect so much.
"Making this music video was a friggen gas; me and Lynn both had the same idea independently of each other when she agreed to be on the track - 'let's be old ladies'.
"I'm sure ppl expected us all to be selling sex and queer baiting the sh.t out of this, so we did what any rap video would do, but as old ladies."
