St Kilda Festival 2020 has assembled a massive line-up to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year.
More than 50 acts perform across six stages, with the Main Stage headlined by time travelling party-starter Hot Dub Time Machine.
Joining him will be Cash Savage And The Last Drinks, high priestess of soul Kylie Audlist, pysch queens Stonefield, The Kite String Tangle, Port Royal and crowd favourites Busby Marou. Still to be announced is a very special 40th anniversary guest who will be revealed at the end of January.
Remi will headline the O'Donnell Gardens Stage, leading girl group The Rebelles, Yergurl and art rockers Jade Imagine. The Alfred Square Stage features the likes of Mama Kin Spender, The Black Sorrows and seven-piece brass outfit Horns Of Leroy featuring Thando.
The Fitzroy Street Stage will be graced by psych-pop outfit Zoe Fox And The Rocket Clocks, Teenage Dads, electronica act Huntly and Dallas Woods.
Artists on the Little Catani Stage include vocal and beatboxing adventurers Mal Webb & Kylie Morrigan, multicultural arts company The Indigenous Arts Project, Ngiyampaa man and melodic singer-songwriter Pirritu, and hypnotic vocalist and First Nations artist Bumpy, with kid-friendly rockers The Haploids as headliners.
Australia's biggest free music festival, St Kilda Festival was first held in 1980 and in tribute to its heritage, festival-goers are encouraged to pull their iconic '80s fashion statements (or disasters) out of the mothballs and get into the party spirit.
St Kilda Festival (Melbourne) is on at St Kilda Foreshore on 9 February.
