SPRINGTIME 2023 Line-up

L-R top to bottom: Eliza & The Delusionals, Matt Corby, Babe Rainbow, BENEE.

Some of the country's hottest and in-demand artists and bands will descend on the Gold Coast 1-3 September for the second annual SPRINGTIME music, arts and skateboarding festival – and it's 100 per cent free.

Set to kick off on the Gold Coast Show Friday public holiday, Aussie electronic act Bag Raiders will headline the first night with a special DJ set. New Zealand's BENEE (currently wowing fans at Coachella) will headline the Saturday programme, while the cruisy soul-rock-pop tones of Matt Corby will serenade the crowd on the final day.

An event built to spotlight, celebrate, champion and endorse emerging local artists as well as a sprinkling of established Australian acts SPRINGTIME features two stages alongside a host of other entertainment.

Other highlights of the 2023 line-up include psych-rockers Babe Rainbow ('Peace Blossom Boogy') and soul-pop lounge crooner grentperez ('Cherry Wine') and five-time Queensland Music Awards winner Sycco ('Dribble').

Then there's GC heroes: indie rockers Eliza & The Delusionals ('Just Exist'), infectious-pop singer-songwriter Bella Amor ('Heart Attack') and fuzz groovers Chutney ('Consolation Prize').

Brisbane pop-rock act yb. (A 2023 QMAs finalist in the Rock category) will also feature while Sunshine & Faith Disco Choir bring their blend of disco-house and gospel from Melbourne to the beachfront.

"We are pumped to be bringing SPRINGTIME back in 2023 for more good times and an unmissable line-up of incredible homegrown artists," Festival Director Mark Duckworth says.

"We created this festival to showcase the very best of Australia's contemporary artists as well as to celebrate and support the musical talent right here in our own backyard on the Gold Coast.

"I am proud to say we were able to achieve that, and more, in 2022 and saw some impressive crowds come along to enjoy our free festival on the beach. We can't wait to welcome them all back this spring."

Dedicated to celebrating the Gold Coast's flourishing music scene, SPRINGTIME will again partner with the Gold Coast Music Awards who'll host a SPRINGTIME launch party following the conclusion of the annual awards on 31 August.

"With the launch party kicking off directly after the Awards ceremony, it's the perfect opportunity to profile the incredible local talent we have here on the Gold Coast, while also making sure we kick off the weekend-long festival programme in a memorable way," GCMA Director Chloe Popa says.

"The Gold Coast boasts world-class musicians and live-performance opportunities, that the city can be proud of."

Alongside the music programme is a stack of other attractions including a host of artists who'll be live painting throughout the event as well as the return of Shock Therapy Arts – the warped minds behind last year's fan favourite live installation 'The Cleaners'.

The Vans Skate Plaza will offer a pop-up beachfront skatepark with comps and demonstrations happening daily.

SPRINGTIME takes place in Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast) 1-3 September and is 100 per cent free.
