A reunion most diehard fans had long since given up on, iconic new wave, art rockers Split Enz will come together in 2026, for their first Australian tour in nearly 20 years.
Part of Bluesfest's first artist 2026 line-up drop, the band synonymous with so many ear worms from the late '70s, early '80s (think 'I Got You', 'I See Red', 'Message To My Girl', 'Six Months In A Leaky Boat', 'History Never Repeats' and 'One Step Ahead'), this will be Split Enz' first Australian shows since 2009's Sound Relief Melbourne concert at MCG.
The ARIA Hall of Fame inductees (2005) will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide next May, with this run of shows featuring original member Tim Finn, alongside Eddie Rayner and Noel Crombie (who were part of the band's run between 1974-'84 and subsequent reunions) and Neil Finn, who joined the group in 1977, plus Matt Eccles on drums and James Milne on bass.
"This is a once-in-a-generation reunion you won't want to miss," declares Neil.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Split Enz' debut album 'Mental Notes'. That album, along with the band's entire catalogue, is part of the 'Enzyclopedia' re-release series – the first of which is due this Friday, 14 November (pre-order it).
Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 17 November.
