Splendour In The Grass 2023 Line-Up

Top-Bottom, L-R: Tove Lo, Flume, Lizzo, Mumford & Sons

It’s the 21st birthday of the iconic Splendour In The Grass, and boy do they have a party planned.

The music and arts festival is returning to its beloved home of North Byron Parklands this July, bringing with it three days and nights of good times dedicated to music lovers. It’s a dollop of innovative electronic sounds, a dash of pop royalty, a heaping of folk and indie rock pioneers, a sprinkling of global hip hop names, and an exclusive anniversary set.

This birthday cake is made from only the freshest ingredients music can produce – from international talent to a good squeeze of exciting emerging artists.

Electronic music titan Flume will celebrate ten years since his debut album broke records (and speakers) around the country. Since then, he’s been launched into the stratosphere banking up billions of streams and Platinum sales around the world.

A few men from London formed a band 14 years ago – a happy accident with nothing unusual to report. They named their band Mumford & Sons, and have jokingly regretted it ever since. . . But their success (GRAMMYs, BRITs, Billboard Awards, sold-out arena tours, a US stadium tour) is nothing to sneeze at! Mumford & Sons will make a quick stop at Lollapalooza Stockholm before bringing their show exclusively to Splendour.

In case nobody told you today, Lizzo is special. There’s no denying she’s shifted the sound, soul and spirit of pop music and pop culture – maintaining unstoppable momentum since her 2019 debut album ‘Cuz I Love You’. She’s got four GRAMMYs and an Emmy in the poolroom to show for it, too. Now she heads down under to show off her most recent offering ‘Special’, which saw her earn five GRAMMY nominations and a win for Record Of The Year.

Music isn’t all that punters can get excited for – but is it ever at Splendour? There’s so much more to do as well.

The Forest (bass camp for sub-genres and boundary-pushing sounds), the Global Village (a unique ecosystem of expansive experiences like yoga, tarot reading and circus), The Forum (where thinkers and storytellers deliver an array of thought-provoking talks and panels), the Science Tent (a place to learn about everything from fungi to fossil fuels), Rainbow Bar (an outrageous programme of DJs, dancers and drag), the VIP Village (for self-anointed kings and queens), Little Splendour (for the kids) and Splendour Arts (a captivating and provocative collection of major visual and performance artworks).

Tickets are on sale 9am 14 April.

Splendour In The Grass 2023 takes place at North Byron Parklands 21-23 July.
