Splendour In The City: Pop Up Event Lands In Sydney

As preparations continue for the November instalment of Splendour In The Grass, event organisers have unveiled a special Sydney pop up showcase, Splendour In The City, for next month that will feature the likes of Tash Sultana, Illy, Violent Soho, Spacey Jane, Ocean Alley and a stack more.

To take over Sydney's Overseas Passenger Terminal (10-18 July), Splendour In The City will feature more than 20 artists and a stack of comedians across two rooms as well as offering long table dining, food trucks, specialty bars, art installations, markets and a programme for kids.

Other musical acts set to take part include Running Touch, Vera Blue, The Southern River Band, Ziggy Ramo, Triple One, Dune Rats and The Lazy Eyes.

Those looking for a bagful of LOLs, Splendour In The City will host two special events featuring some of the country's brightest and hilarious stars: Nikki Britton Tom Ballard, Nazeem Hussain, Nath Valvo and much more.

The two main rooms – Customs Hall (900 capacity) and Cargo Hall (400 capacity) – will be ticketed events, but access to the general event area is free. So it's ideal to swing by on a whim for dinner or drinks.



Those who have always dreamt of going back stage at Splendour will be able to live out those fantasies with Splendour In The City set to recreate the artist's Strummer Bar alongside a number of the festivals favourite watering holes including the Palm Springs inspired The Winery, Tinder Container Bar and more.

"While we're still working towards our Byron Bay event in November and are very grateful for the ongoing support from our Splendour community, we hope that the Splendour In The City pop up, alongside our recently announced Splendour XR virtual festival, will tide you all over in the meantime," Jessica Ducrou, Co-founder Splendour In The Grass says.

Splendour In The City takes place 10-18 July.
