Spit Syndicate are set to release their fifth studio album 'Orbit' next month and will tour nationally this winter.
'Orbit' features various talents such as Tuka, Turquoise Prince, imbi the girl and Kai (Jackie Onassis).
The latest taste of the album is 'Contraband & Conversation', featuring imbi the girl and Kai.
“We felt the immediacy missing from the way we'd make and release music, so we jumped straight into this album with a promise to go harder than we've ever gone before” Nick Lupi explains.
“'Orbit' is, without question, our best work yet and it's the most fun we've ever had making a record.”
The Sydney duo have come along way since their high school days. Throughout their ten-year career the group have established themselves as one of Australia's most prominent hip hop outfits.
“Our approach to making this album was like a mixtape; we weren't thinking about singles, radio or even how we'd be releasing the music,” Jimmy Nice says.
“That allowed us to be weightless, almost childlike in our approach. We arrived back at the essence of why we started creating songs; for that reason this album is our best yet.”
Spit Syndicate's 20-date tour will kick off at Darwin's Bass In The Grass festival and continue throughout June and July. Click here to purchase tickets. 'Orbit' will be released 11 May, 2018.
