A winter warmer like no other is coming to Adelaide, in the form of another round of Spin Off Festival at Adelaide Showgrounds.
The beloved mid-year music moment returns for its seventh edition this July, and the forecast is calling for good times for music lovers, with a line-up full of top-tier talents from international sensations to homegrown heroes.
Spin Off features two curated stages this year, welcoming the oh-so-familiar Sound Archive stage. Following the success of the dedicated dance stage at Adelaide’s Heaps Good Festival, it’s now Spin Off’s turn to host a stack of heavyweight electronic acts.
Marie Ulven (Girl In Red) has been at the forefront of alt-pop since the release of her debut single ‘I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend’. She’s played major festivals, toured with icons like Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift, and had multiple songs hit nine-figure streaming numbers.
Conan Gray will light up Spin Off with a host of new tracks, after his sold-out ‘Found Heaven On Tour’. Four of his singles are already nearing 130 million streams.
Rising superstar G Flip brings their high-powered rock/pop music to Spin Off. Their sophomore album ‘Drummer’ soared to #1 on the ARIA Charts, winning them two ARIA Awards. It also broke records, with seven tracks in Triple J’s Hottest 100.
Peach PRC will take to the stage in her old stomping grounds, off the back off her biggest sold-out headline shows to date and the release of her single ‘Secret’. Plus, Baby Gravy joins the party. Yung Gravy and BBNO$ have been collaborating since 2017, releasing three joint albums in that time.
UK baroque indie five-piece The Last Dinner Party will make an appearance at Spin Off as their first Aussie stop, bringing their haunting melodies and explosive choruses to the festival. In the first half of this year, they’ve released their debut album, won a BRIT Award, and landed Triple J’s feature album.
US singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi makes the trip to deliver an authentic blend of folk-rock storytelling rooted in age-old American musical traditions. Plus, Old Mervs hit the fest with epic hooks and breezy guitars, and Newcastle faves Rum Jungle bring their unique blend of psych surf rock. Then, proud First Nations artist Miss Kaninna presents her explosive, unapologetic BLAK POP energy to life.
That’s not all. The Sound Archive presented by Divide is a dedicated dance and electronic music area featuring a custom-designed stage, production and dance space. Names appearing include DJ Seinfeld, Sam Alfred, JamesJamesJames, Club Angel, Rona., Fukhed and Willo.
Tickets are on sale 2 May at 10am local.
