A tour more than three decades in the making, American alternative rockers and '90s stalwarts Spin Doctors return to Australia in 2026.
Their first visit down under since 1993 (yes, that is not a typo), the New York City band responsible for such hits as 'Two Princes' (you know it: 'Yeah / One, two princes kneel before you / That's what I said now!'), 'Little Miss Can't Be Wrong' and 'Jimmy Olsen's Blues', Spin Doctors will play a ten-date tour next May.
The run of headline concerts, which commences in Perth before winding through Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Sydney, Townsville, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, will honour the band's 35th anniversary of their iconic 1991 debut album, 'Pocket Full Of Kryptonite' (that feature the three aforementioned bangers).
The band will perform that album in full, before returning for a second set of their other classics, fan favourites and a deep dive or two.
"I lived in Australia when I was a kid, and I'm friends with Dave Gleeson of Screaming Jets," longtime lead singer Chris Barron says.
"It's been something like 30 years since we played Australia. Way too long! What have we been thinking?!? I'm beside myself with anticipation. I can't wait to relive good memories, see old and new friends, and rock 'Pocket Full Of Kryptonite'!"
A career spanning seven studio albums, their most recent record is 'Face Full Of Cake' that was released in April this year (their first record of new material since 2013's 'If The River Was Whiskey').
"We are very excited to be coming back to Australia for the first time in 30 years to celebrate the 35th anniversary of our debut album, 'Pocket Full Of Kryptonite'," the band's original drummer Aaron Comess says.
"The record did very well down under, and we are so grateful for all the support you have given us in making these songs live on for all these years.
"We will be playing the album in its entirety, along with other songs of ours and even a few covers that we have been playing lately. It's going to be a really special tour for us, and we hope to see you there."
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 4 December.
