As the release of their sophomore album fast approaches ('Here Comes Everybody' out 24 June), 'Booster Seat' legends Spacey Jane have teased the new record dropping the delicious-sounding single 'Hardlight'.
It's a gorgeous slice of indie pop whose melodic rhythm masks the underlying sentiments of vocalist/ guitarist Caleb Harper's lyrics that focus on anxiety. The band will also embark on a national tour this August with shows in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
"I wrote this song about how I was feeling like my life was a bit like one of those nightmares where you're at school with no pants," Caleb says.
"Except I used the metaphor of being on set and forgetting all of your lines (because it felt less silly).
"I guess it's about anxiety, but also just having no idea what I'm doing even though I want it to look like I really do."
Spacey Jane will be joined on tour by I Know Leopard and Teenage Dads.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 27 May.
