Former Soundwave Festival director, AJ Maddah, has this week said he plans to pay back all debts relating to the failed festival.
Soundwave Festival collapsed in 2016 following the cancellation of the event after eight barnstorming years (2008-2015).
Maddah was talking about the festival in a Facebook thread and stated, "even though the debts are legally extinguished through the administration/ liquidator/ creditor settlement process I still voluntarilly and with no obligation send out monthly payments to bands and local creditors. It will take a few more years but I hope to have everyone paid."

Debts owed to artists as at 2018 were an eye-watering 10 million dollars, including Slipknot, Soundgarden and The Smashing Pumpkins in the $1,000,000 club.
