Soundwave has just announced their fifth band to SW16 club with Australian metalcore/progressive metal band, Northlane, along side the already confirmed artists: Refused, Bullet For My Valentine, Dead Letter Circus and Failure.
This is good timing for the Western Sydney outfit as their new album new album 'Node' just hit the stores. It debuted at #3 on the Aria charts.

Who next for the lineup? Well, there are plenty of rumours flying around. Festival promoter, AJ Maddah, has already ruled out a lot of crowd favourites via twitter and has us guessing as to who could be headlining!
According to Muddah, we can forget big names like:
Aerosmith (“fans are too old”)
Iron Maiden
Korn
King Diamond
Danzig
Garbage
Guns N Roses
HIM
Wearing Scars
System Of A Down
Bury Tomorrow
Tonight Alive
Sabaton
Tenacious D
Rammstein
Manowar (damn it!)
Sevendust
However, he suggests some possibilities are:
Anthrax
Amity Affliction
Body Count
Iced Earth
Iggy Pop (but doubt it)
Killswitch Engage
Five Finger Death Punch
Chelsea Grin
Volbeat
Lamb Of God (again)
My 'guesses' at this point (more to come once I’ve fully submerged into SW mania!):
Slayer
Disturbed
Tool (doubt it though)
Babymetal
Ghost
With Soundwave 2016 going back to a one day only event, it begs the question, how many bands will be billed? Muddah mentioned this in a reply tweet to a savvy punter:
@matthewsmith510 that's what we have atm allowing for super long sets by headliners.

And on the back of that, another punter has this appropriate question:
For everyone asking, we will no longer to 30 min sets at SW. It's all about better bands and longer sets. #SW16
