Even though they are headlining Soundwave '15, Soundgarden have announced they will be doing a massive sideshow at Melbourne's Festival Hall and Sydney's Luna Park Bigtop in late February.
When Soundgarden broke up in 1997 we thought it was the end of the grunge era. Chris Cornell created Audioslave, with members of Rage Against The Machine, and then moved over into a solo career. Drummer, Matt Cameron, got comfortable in the Pearl Jam camp and then, with no warning whatsoever they rejoined and started recording and touring.
With their last studio album, ‘King Animal’, far off in the distance the Seattle-born grunge legends will be performing what I would imagine is a 'best of show’ with the added possibility of a few of the more favoured tracks from the ‘rarities’ release, ‘Echo Of Miles’.
It will be the 20th anniversary of the chartbusting ‘Superunkown’, so we can expect pretty much the whole album as part of the set-list.
