'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

It's been eight, long years, but Something For Kate have returned to the fold offering fans and music lovers alike a simmering new tune of indie pop charm that oozes rock sophistication. Put simply – 'Situation Room' is glorious.

The first sample shared by the trio of Paul Dempsey, Clint Hyndman and Stephanie Ashworth of a forthcoming studio album slated for release later this year, 'Situation Room' is about that moment – or situation – you can never control.

"You hear the first line and you know what's coming next," frontman Paul Dempsey says, "and that the person is illustrating all these ways how they have total control and can predict any outcome, but there's one person they can't get certainty over and grasp."
