Update - 22 July, 2021: Due to demand, a second Melbourne show has been added to the tour; Wednesday 22 September.
Set to tour nationally for the first time in four years, Something For Kate will treat fans to a special two-set concert as part of the new 'Double Or Nothing' series.
The trio of Paul Dempsey, Stephanie Ashworth and Clint Hyndman will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal album release 'Echolalia' by playing that record in full, before returning for a second set highlighting their current release 'The Modern Medieval' as well as other notable hits and rarities from their back catalogue."We've been unable to tour 'The Modern Medieval' since its release last year," Something For Kate says, "and along with 'Echolalia' turning 20 this year, we wanted to find a way to celebrate both albums so we decided to play two sets a night.
"We'll be our own support band!"
The first in the 'Double Or Nothing' series, it will see the headline act perform one of their classic albums in full followed by a second set of hits, rarities, and fan favourites.
"One set will feature 'Echolalia' in full and the other set will be made up of songs from 'The Modern Medieval' plus a mix of other favourites," adds the band.
"This will be a rare and unique Something For Kate tour. We can't wait for these very special shows."
The band's tour news arrives alongside the announcement that a limited edition clear vinyl re-issue of 'Echolalia' will be made available from 10 September.
Something For Kate are set to visit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
