This Friday (28 September) Brisbane band Smoking Martha will play their final local gig for awhile.
The West End rockers have gone and landed themselves a European record deal, with Bad Reputation Records, for their debut album 'In Deep' and a subsequent UK tour in November booked via Wrecking Crew Touring Agency.
To celebrate Smoking Martha will host a going away party at the Woolly Mammoth, where they'll be joined by Hammers and Street Pieces.
The band's scorching sound has garnered them a loyal following in Australia with appearances this year at Brisbane festivals Dead Of Winter and Mojo Burning.
They've previously toured as headliners as well as supported the likes of Wolfmother and American bands such as Fuel, P.O.D., Everclear and Saliva, plus '70s Cherry Bomb Queen, Cherie Currie of The Runaways.
Smoking Martha's UK tour will include an evening spot at the sold out Hard Rock Hell Festival in Wales playing alongside Saxon, Michael Shenker Fest, Girlschool and Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.
