Beloved surf-rock trio Skegss have released a second single from their upcoming 15-track debut album, 'My Own Mess', which will be released in September.
The new single, 'Smogged Out', along with a video featuring the sights of Sydney, dropped earlier today and is in keeping with their trademark brand of sunny, garage punk.
About the new album, Skegss comment: “['My Own Mess'] is our first album. F#$%. We were in a state of non-reality in the studio. We didn’t leave and when it was done I didn’t feel conditioned to go back into the real world.”
Skegss is comprised of Byron Bay mates Ben Reed (vocals, guitar), Toby Cregan (bass) and Jonny Lani (drums).

The boys have charmed fans across the nation since the release of their first EP, 'Holiday Food', in April 2017, with tracks like 'Spring Has Sprung' and 'Got On My Skateboard' never failing to draw a crowd.
Despite being relative newcomers, Skegss have played headline slots at festivals around the country including Groovin' The Moo and Spilt Milk; not to mention their upcoming performance at Splendour In The Grass.
They have also managed to sell-out tours across the country becoming known for an energised, infectiously-fun live show.

Following their Splendour appearance, the band will be off to the UK and Europe for another 17-stop tour, but are already hinting at another Australian run.
'My Own Mess' is set to drop on Friday 7 September, and will be released on gatefold yellow vinyl, complete with a 28-page zine designed by long-time collaborator and designer Jack Irvin. There will also be limited merch bundles available online. Click here to pre-order.
