Six Local SA Bands To Play Superloop Adelaide 500 Concerts

The Montreals will support Red Hot Chili Peppers and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic at the Superloop Adelaide 500 after-race concert series.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Six South Australian bands have been selected as support acts for the after-race concert series at the Superloop Adelaide 500 this year.

Music SA have announced the winners of the ninth annual Bands On Track competition, which this year attracted submissions from an all-time record 280 bands to be judged by a panel of music industry representatives.

Congratulations to the 2019 winners: Tales, Delia Obst, Ricky Albeck & The Belair Line Band, Burnside Mums, The Montreals and Zen Panda.

Tales and Delia Obst will support Vance Joy and Amy Shark for the Friday evening concert, with Ricky Albeck & The Belair Line Band and Burnside Mums doing warm-up duties for Jet and The Living End on Saturday.

The big winners though are The Montreals and Zen Panda, both of whom perform to perhaps their biggest audiences as support for international funk powerhouses Red Hot Chili Peppers and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic.

The concert series takes place in the all-new entertainment precinct that brings all the action of the Superloop Adelaide 500 closer to fans of both motorsport and love music.
