Canadian rockers Simple Plan will return to Australia in April 2024, joined by special guests Boys Like Girls and We The Kings.

Simple Plan have been a big part of pop culture for more than two decades. Their new millennium rise through to MTV superstardom and pop punk’s modern resurgence has introduced their multi-platinum sound to audiences around the world.

They were formed in 1999 in Montreal and are continuing to make waves, even spawning a viral TikTok challenge for a new generation. They’ve actively released music throughout their twenty-plus years in the industry, affirming their legacy once again most recently with ‘Harder Than It Looks’ in 2022. . . The band’s first self-released album.

“We’re so happy to announce that we’re finally coming back to Australia in April 2024!” the band say. “The last time we played down under was way back in 2019 for the Good Things festival so it’s been way too long and we are way overdue for a visit in one of our absolute favourite places in the world.”

“We love this country and our Aussie fans so much and we couldn’t be more excited to have the chance to perform in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. We’re playing some amazing venues and we know these shows are gonna be heaps of fun!

“We’re also really thrilled to bring some incredible bands and artists with us. Joining the tour are the super talented Boys Like Girls and our great friends We The Kings! This tour line-up is stacked and we know these shows will be unforgettable.”

Boys Like Girls formed as teenagers in 2004, and they’ve since skyrocketed from humble beginnings to half a billion Spotify streams alongside multiple platinum and gold-certified releases. They’re due to release their first new album in more than a decade with ‘Sunday At Foxwoods’ due out this year.

Florida’s We The Kings erupted with a self-titled album in 2007 including the smash ‘Check Yes Juliet’. Now, in command of eight studio albums and an ever-growing legion of fans, the band’s catchy material is as renowned as their live performances.

Simple Plan will be donating $1 from each ticket sold on the tour, to the Simple Plan Foundation. The foundation focuses on helping young people in need, and showcasing the power of music as a tool to find purpose and direction in life.

Tickets are on sale 13 October at 9am local.
