It's been a minute, or 14 years to be accurate, but dreamy shoegaze, alternative rockers Silversun Pickups return to Australia in 2026.
The band responsible for such indie hits as 'Lazy Eye', 'Panic Switch' and 'Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)' will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney this July.
The run of shows follows the release of the band's new album 'Tenterhooks' last month, which features the singles 'The Wreckage', 'New Wave', 'Long Gone' and 'Au Revoir Reservoir'.
An unapologetic ten-track collection, 'Tenterhooks' captures Silversun Pickups at their most electrifying with Sputnik Music calling it 'undeniably cinematic'.
Fans can expect to hear cuts from the new album as well as tracks from their rich catalogue that continues to resonate with generations of fans like 'Three Seed', 'Kissing Families', 'Well Thought Out Twinkles' and 'Substitution'.
Silversun Pickups have performed on some of the world’s biggest festival stages including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Osheaga, while touring alongside major acts such as Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, OK Go and Wolfmother.
New Zealand Coast Arcade will join the tour. "🤯 We're heading across the ditch 🇦🇺 to tour with the legendary Silversun Pickups. . . we're still pinching ourselves. . . WTF??"
An indie-rock band from Auckland, last year Coast Arcade released their debut, self-titled album (featuring 'City Limits' and 'Baited') showcasing their fresh take on the sounds of the '90s and early 2000s.
We said of their BIGSOUND 2025 performance: 'Coast Arcade play classic power-pop, in the vein of Superchunk and The Breeders, with just a hint of shoegaze.'
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 31 March.
